Welcome to Flamingo

We’re a team of forward thinking, location-independent individuals, focused on helping other entrepreneurs and businesses thrive.

The team at Flamingo are veterans of several SaaS (Software as a Service) applications. During nearly 10 years working remotely, we’ve learned all there is to know about managing and operating companies with a worldwide, distributed employee base.

Flamingo is our attempt to scratch our own itch, so to speak, and create a tool to help businesses like ours.

The Team Behind Flamingo

David Hehenberger, Founder

David is a tech entrepreneur with over a decade’s experience in online marketing, where he’s built several successful software companies from the ground up. He also runs a SaaS app for Amazon Sellers and a WordPress plugin business. Before starting these businesses, he had a e-commerce marketing consultancy, and another app in the Amazon FBA space, which was acquired.

David hails from Austria, but now spends most of his time based in Vietnam. His go-to hobbies (when he’s not bootstrapping software businesses), include reading, playing poker with friends and watching Formula 1.

Andrew Buck, Head of Marketing

Andrew is the guy in charge of Flamingo’s blog (among other things), where he can put his 8 years of experience in management and HR to use, creating awesome content for small businesses and remote entrepreneurs.

Originally from New Zealand, he now lives the remote life, and has lived in several areas of the world including Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. Along with Flamingo, he creates content for several other online businesses, as well as running a successful Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blog.

Outside of work, Andrew spends his weekends following the English Premier League and UFC, and is in the process of writing the next great blockbuster screenplay.

Nemanja Ivanis, Lead Developer

Nemanja has been a web developer for 10 years, and he writes the code that makes Flamingo so smooth and easy to use. He’s based in Podgorica, the capital and largest city in Montenegro.

Nemanja’s hobbies mostly revolve around sport – in particular basketball, football and tennis. He’s also into gaming, traveling, techno and TV shows (mostly super hero stuff).
